OK first of all you need to get a router. to hook up the Ethernet cable there is a slot on the back of the Xbox 360. it is toward the top of the console and it has a usb port next to it. once you plug that in you need to plug the other end into the Ethernet port on the back of the router. next make sure that your router has internet access, turn it on, turn your xbox 360 on, sign into your profile then click join Xbox Live.
