you can keep beef up to a year in the freezer
Freezing food will preserve it forever, and will be safe, unless it gets freezer burn. However, the longer meat is frozen, the more "quality" it will lose. Meats will be good 6 months to a year before losing too much quality, depending on the variety of the meat.
If cooked, a year or two, if raw, a year.
If sealed properly and no sign of freezer burn, I would say yes. I have cooked meat that has be in freezer for a year and had no problems with taste or sickness.
Depending how you package it anywhere from 6 months to a year.
Answer:According to the USDA, properly frozen meat is safe for consumption almost indefinitely. The taste and quality can begin to deteriorate after about two months but taste can be effected by freezer burn. Freezer Storage Chart (0 °F)Note: Freezer storage is for quality only. 6-8 months is the rule of thumb for frozen raw meats. However, I wouldn't keep deer meat or other wild game meats for more than 4 months as well as frozen cooked meats. Some people say a year is fine, but I think better safe than sorry. Meat can be frozen for months, as long as it is used as soon as you defrost it, and don't refreeze it. It varies depending on the type of meat. See the following link for specifics: http://www.fsis.usda.gov/FactSheets/Focus_On_Freezing/index.asp
Meats are generally considered safe to store for up to one year in a freezer as long as they were fresh upon freezing.
No, it does not have to be sliced. You can put the meat in an air tight container or a freezer bag or freezer paper and freeze. This food will stay good for a year or better.
If this is stored in an airtight container, it can last up to a year. If stored in freezer bags less than that. About 3 months.
For a few years if in an air tight container. That will depend upon the type of meat. Fatty meats will go rancid in the freezer. So something like bacon or sausage will be good only for a month or two. Pork doesn't last as long as beef. Definitely plan to use frozen meat before a year is up, but sooner is better. From a microbiological standpoint, it would be safe forever. Palatability is another issue and will depend upon how good the freezer is and on the packaging used. Raw cuts of beef could be OK for 6-12 months. Ground beef or small pieces should be used within 3-4 months. Use up cooked beef within 3 months. See Related Links.
