The CPU comprised of three main parts: AlU(ARITHMETIC LOGIC UNIT):- Does the actual Logic comparisons that need to be processed. Control Unit:-Can execute and store the results coming out of ALU. Registers:- store the data that is to be executed next.

A microprocessor is a processing unit that carries out instructions and tasks within a computer system. On the other hand, a microcomputer refers to a complete computer system that typically includes a microprocessor, memory, input/output devices, and storage. In essence, the microprocessor is the central processing unit within a microcomputer.
A Microprocessor based system depends on the external peripherals such as RAM, ROM, Hard-disk and other devices, and work with any available operating system's, which the user can alter.A Micro-controller based system have all the peripherals built on a single silicon chip and programed for hardware specific implementation's, which the user cannot alter.ABHI
In the 8-bit versions, CP/M's software was separated into three components * console command processor or CCP, * basic disk operating system or BDOS, and * basic input/output system
Startup disk for an operating system will just boot the system and load OS basic components in the machine RAM. After that what all it does depends on what else it is programmed to do and what commands/options you select. If you plan to install an operating system it generally will ask you and give a warning that disk or particular partition of the disk will be formatted and you will loose all the data.
The system disk is the partition from which the operating system was loaded at startup.
