I 72 Chevy with a newer motor and distributor the distributor is off of a 79 or newer truck does anyone know if the firing order is different?

The firing order for all Chevy 350's is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 The firing order for all 305's is 1-8-7-2-6-5-4-3
Wrong. The firing order is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 for all Gen I and Gen II V8 is the same.
