You need a new clutch
Not that hard I learned in 15 minutes. Clutch shift.......
if it is hard to shift, when you shift your hear grinding, if you need to push really hard to get the clutch down, or if your in nutraul and your car dies when your foot is off the clutch
to start with when you push in on the clutch pedal you are disengaging it. Your description sounds like the clutch has clutched its last clutch What if it is not the clutch?
If the clutch pedal feels loose or if it's particularly hard to shift, then probably.
The clutch will be very loose and it will be hard to come out of any gear.
Odds are the clutch is in need of a adjustment or replacement.
Check the clutch plate or have it checked.
Check for bad clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder.
Sounds like the clutch is on it's way out.
The shift gate or the synchronizers can be worn. Also the clutch can need adjustment if possible.
Check for shift linkage that may be bent or out of adjustment. It also might be that the clutch is worn or out of adjustment and when the clutch pedal is depressed it is not coming off the pressure plate completely which does not allow a smooth shift.
Sounds like clutch may need adjusted. Or maybe replaced.
