I wish I knew how long ago this question was put on the site. Age does not determine If or how long to breast feed. There is good support close to you. Your local WIC office can help or look up your local la leche league in phone book or online. Breast feeding is a personal choice, your baby should continue to gain weight. Always seek help/ask questions if you have concerns.

You should nurse until your baby is ready to be weaned off. Your doctor will be able to give a rough idea of when.
