I am 25 and I am getting my tonsils out about a week before Thanksgiving. My doctor said the pain is worse on the 7th day for adults. The only thing I would worry about if I was you was that deferred ear pain that I've heard about. I'm sure the 15th day will not be too horrible pain-wise. He told me I could go back to work in a week....
Both the tonsils are removed during tonsillectomy
This is the the medical term for having your tonsils removed.
A tonsillectomy is a surgical procedure to remove the tonsils, which are two small glands located at the back of the throat. This procedure is often done to treat recurrent tonsillitis or breathing problems caused by enlarged tonsils.
I think it is called tonsillectomy I heard it on a cartoon
Tonsillectomy is the surgical removal of the tonsils
No, getting your tonsils removed is not dangerous. All your tonsils do is help with your immunity, if you get them removed it will not be a big deal. Hope this helped:)

The removal of the adenoids involves a bit of cutting in the back of the throat. See the link below.
Yes
Yes. If the area around the tonsils is healed and not infected.
The most common way a person loses his/her tonsils is through tonsillectomy; a surgical removal of the tonsils.
It depends... Sometimes the tonsils are infected with bacteria (tonsillitis) and pus will drain out. If this is recurring, there might be an indication to have them removed (tonsillectomy). It you find that what is coming out is hard and white but your throat doesn't hurt, you might simply have tonsils with crypts in which food particles get stuck.
