If you are eating healthy and working out, then 143 pounds is not too much. It is important to remember muscle weighs more than fat.

Unless you are very tall or muscular, yes that is too much.--As in, pounds? That is way too much. An average 26-year old ranges in 165, so...I recommend you/your child going on a strict diet and lots of healthy exercise, because 218 is never a good thing.
