Put a balance between the both, I mean being in love means that all you concentrate on is them and if you block him out totally then he will just wipe your mind clean. See him, but keep an eye on your studies, make certain days for studying and see him after collage/ school. Make sure you keep track of things, and when you are studying turn off your phone and concentrate harder, knowing that you've seen him and things are going well.
