I am very fond of my cat and have heard from my local vicar that humans can marry animals now because of a new law Can I marry my cat?

Even though you cannot get a legal divorce in a court of law, in some places in India, many people chose to. You may be interested to know that you can still marry a human (or a dog) later .
But you need to think about your cat to make that sort of decision, because your poor cat might want to marry another cat, and so you may feel cheated if your cat has kittens with another cat. CHEATER!
You may also want to seek professional counselling if you're still not sure what to do.
Here's an interesting story:

An investigation by Harper's magazine journalist Mischa Berlinski suggests that the snake may not even exist at all and that the incident may have been stage-managed as part of a local power struggle between Vaishnav religious leaders.

People can be mean to animals for various reasons. Some people kill or abandon animals because the animal is not wanted. Some people are mean because they are just twisted, mean people. Some people don't feed their animals because they can't afford it. Sometimes, people just forget about their animals. If you see a stray animal, contact your local ASPCA. Make donations to the local shelter to help them take care of all the animals that go neglected.

In my own opinion I do NOT think that zoos are the best places for animals to be. A few years ago my local zoo had dolphins, and they died 6 months after. Its because of captivity, its very unnatural. Sea world does it too. They use the whales and dolphins and seals for entertainment then when the day is over they lock them up in a cramped up space and the animals can become very unhealthy because of that. They all say that they put animals in zoos and use animals for entertainment because it helps them, but that's just what they want you to believe. Animals in captivity have a better chance of dying then they would out in the wild. animals are meant to roam free. not to be locked up. just like humans. when humans are put in jail cells it can drive them nuts.

Animals loose their habitat and die out or become extinct. Humans loose plants which could be useful, loose forests which balance the atmosphere by absobing CO2 and giving out Oxygen.. Local weather can be affected and loss of the root systems can cause landslides. The deforested areas can rapidly become barren and turn into dessert.

Yes. Until quite recently, most food was taken from the local habitat. Animals adapt to make the best of the food which was available locally. It is only in recent years that humans have started to trade in foods so that the local habitat is not the only source.
