My suggestion is to go look at some disappointed people and see what their face looks like! Surely you have been disappointed sometime in your life! What did your face feel like then?

Describe their eyes, the shape of their mouth and their general outlook. They're obviously not happy or smiling - quite the reverse.

You can describe the disappointment on the character's face by mentioning a sudden drop in their facial expression, a look of sadness or disbelief in their eyes, and a slight downturn of the corners of their mouth. This can convey a sense of let-down or disillusionment that the character is feeling.
