Actually, the mold is Not good to eat. It is a common misconception that's because the antibiotic Penicillin is derived from the mold Penicillin, that it is the same thing.
This is NOT true. Penicillin is a dangerous mold in large amounts and even in small amounts for sensitive people. It can colonize the body in some people. Not likely, but still possible. Aspergillus is another mold that can grow in the human body, particularly the lungs and sinuses.
Do some research on Penicillin. Do not mistake it for the antibiotic. Don't panic either, because a lot of people accidentally eat this common mold as it gets on spoiled food. If you feel at all sick, contact a doctor. Educate yourself. Also, many naturalists and doctors who know something about natural supplements can recommend herbs and products that are unfriendly to mold and yeast (like Candida) that are also safe for humans (of course research all supplements and consult health care practitioner before trying anything).
