Usually when the lights will not come on, you have to jostle the machine back and forth a bit till the transmission clicks into position. Some times it takes several attempts to get the shifter and transmission to accept the Park or neutral position. If that does not work, then I suspect that adjustment is needed. It appears to be normal for the position to be a bit tight.

1. With the car in park, turn the key to the on position. Turn off your stereo, fan, etc. All your dash lights should be on. The warning lights will all turn off, except the security light left blinking. 2. Leave the car in the on position for 10-15 minutes. Come back and the light should now be off. 3. Turn the key to the off position for 10 seconds, then start your car no problem:) If this doesn't work, you may need to repeat the above steps two (2) more times to reset the module. If this doesn't work, you need a new PassLock module (around $400 from what I've read).
