Just guessing without having it in front of me but, I would suspect the roller dimmer switch on the dash. I know that if it is unplugged, all dash lights go off. So check the plug-in for a short.

I had the same problem. What is happening is that the main circuit board for the instrument cluster is defective. The only way to fix the problem is to have the entire circuit board replaced.

I have a 97 Buick Park ave and the dash lights went out ? all other lights seem to be working , and I cannot identify which fuse , if any could be in need of replaceing .
