I had a 305 motor rebuilt on an 84 silverado...the lifters are still making noise..not as much. I am wondering if they were not torched properly..what lbs of torche to I need?

as far as I know, you don't torque lifters, you adjust them. each one has to be adjusted individually.

It's not recommended to change just the lifters. The cam and lifters should be replaced together. To get at the lifters, you can remove the rocker covers and intake manifold, loosen the rockers enough to get the pushrods out, then pull out the lifters.
