I hava a 1992 Lincoln town car that will not downshift. The car goes up to 70-80 kilometres per hour then slips out of gear revs highand I must let it slow down to catch again any suggestions.?

It sounds like you've lost overdrive. It runs through 3rd gear and then only slips when it attempts to shift into 4th (OD). I am just guessing that this is an AODE trans. It would probably be more cost effective to replace it with a used trans, although GOOD rebuilders can improve this trans so it will last a loooong time when PROPERLY rebuilt (ask around and around and around).
