165 HP @ 3800 RPM
Fairly common engine, really. I am surprised you can't find info on it. Motors/Chiltons manuals are okay, factory manuals are the best. I don't know of a 305 ci V-6. I have a 1970 with a 5.0 307 ci. And stock horsepower on that is 200.

Try the 6066 GMC Yahoo Group, the people there know a lot about the V6 engines.

(This set, according to Sanderson, uses a Passenger side #427, and a driver side #391 header.) You can order the set direct from Sanderson. I don't know if any other suppliers offer this specific part number.

Anything over about 4000 lbs makes stopping very dangerous in mine (manual drum brakes), and the 360 starts to feel a little strained on steep hills. Mine has a C6 auto tranmission. If I had a manual trans and power disc brakes I'm sure I could tow a lot more.
