Could be several things, Crank sensor on distributor, bad oil pressure switch, bad computer. If you cycle the key on then off, do you hear the fuel pump run? When you try cranking the engine what is the oil pressure gauge at 350 Vortec engines require 20+ psi oil pressure to trigger the distriuter to fire.

The fuel filter, on your 1993 Chevy 6.5 liter diesel engine, can be removed by turning the fuel filter to the left. The fuel filter will come off and can be replaced with a new filter.
According to the Impala Forum the fuel filter is part of the fuel pump module, and the unit is housed in the gas tank. Filter is replaced when the pump is replaced. Hope this helps. :)

Replace the fuel filter & air filter. If you have never replaced the spark plugs, do so.
It has a permanent filer that is changed when the fuel pump is replaced.

Replace the fuel filter every 36,000 miles. A clogged fuel filter can cause the fuel pump to overheat and fail. A costly repair.

The PCV valve is internal and shouldn't need to be replaced. The fuel filter is located at the rear of the car. It is by the fuel tank and rear axle.
