I have a 2001 peugeot 106 and the radio has gone off but it still lights up when lights are on but when you press power nothing happens what is the problem?

You probably have blown the fuse on the rear of the radio. There is a wire connected to your headlights that brings on the background lights inside the radio screen and another wire that has main power in plus another one for ignition on. One of the latter two will have a fuse inline and it should be blown. May be on the wire or built in to the back of the stereo. Have fun.
