I have a 25cc Craftsman gas weedwacker that will only run when the tank is full. Found an odd plastic part in the tank itself. It's not shown in the schematics. What is it and how to I reattach it?

Might be the fuel filter? Fish around in the tank and see if you can retrieve a tube that will connect to it.

There is a nut just above the large black plastic string holder. Hold the nut and unscrew the black plastic string holder (it is reverse threaded).
