I DONT KNOW IF THIS HELPS BUT Ford USES A INERTIA SWITCH TO SHUT OF THE FUEL PUMP IN CASE OF A CRASH-YOU MIGHT HAVE TRIGGERED IT DURING YOUR REPAIR -IT HAS A RED RESET BUTTON ON TOP-USUALY LOCATED IN REAR HATCH AREA ON CARS
1991 jaguar jx6 will not start
Check for spark and fuel. You are not getting one of those.
my 1997 pathfider cranks but will not fire.
try a new ignition coil
timing belt broke?
Try replacing the ignition module. It is located in the distributor. This is what gives the PCM the reference to turn on the fuel pump, fire spark, etc.
First thing is to make sure you have fire (spark) at the spark plugs. If not change the ignition coil.
i would start with control mod and from there maybe a crank senser
The car needs three things, fuel, air, and electrical spark. If it cranks but doesn't start its not getting fuel. Spray some starter fluid into air intake after detaching it from engine. If starts for couple of seconds that is problem. If not check these things, spark plugs fire, and relays near battery.
A spark is a small part of a burning substance thrown off by a fire. Sparks can also be generated by friction to start a fire.
You can always start a fire by friction (get two pieces of wood and friction them one against the other. Takes time, but it's spark-free).
You might try a crankshaft position sensor first. Its probably cheaper than an ignition module.
Since no spark, start with the coil!
appears no fire going to spark plugs
check the crankshaft sensor or the cam sensor.
Start with a good tune up. Could be a bum spark plug or spark plug wire.
I assume that the engine cranks but will not run. Take a spark plug wire off the plug and hold it one inch from the engine while someone cranks it. If fire jumps then you have ignition. That being the case, spray a small amount of carburetor cleaner into the air intake. If the engine starts and dies then you have a fuel problem.
A short in the wring can cause heat and a spark which can start a fire.
either crank sensor or cam sensor. but more then likely its the cam sensor located in the distributer.
I would say a badcam or crank sensor. if not scan system for codes
Not starting may means no fuel is reaching. And if fuel is reaching and it is not starting, than there is no spark to "fire" the mixture, which means bad coil. Combustible or burnable fuel, heat or spark, and oxygen are needed to start a fire.
check the spark plugs. may not be catching fire.
Fire steel or fire strikers as they are often called are made up of carbon, ferrocerium alloys. They are often used in hunting and camping to start a fire. They are an alternative to a match, which will cause a spark to start a fire.
No, not the glue itself, however the gun can over heat in the process of heating the glue and spark, so if there was anything flamable nearby it could spark a fire, yes.
