My best guess: and it's only a guess... is that your transfer case may be going out. I had to replace mine a few years back.
I don't know if you are having this happen, as I was, but you could hear a grinding kind of noise from the drivers side rear portion of the car when put in reverse.
Oh, and by the way, a USED transfer case ran me $900 for the part and installation.
If no forward or reverse bias is applied from outside then the diode or transistor(I'm not sure for which did you ask) is in internal equilibrium. thus there's a field created in each junction which prevents the flow of charges across it..
You could break the tranny and would have to replace it.

I need to reverse onto the driveway. What will happen if you reverse the flow?
If a forward and reverse reaction happen at the same rate, the result is called a dynamic equilibrium; the overall chemical composition does not change, even though reactions are constantly taking place.
Monster Rancher Explorer happened in 2000.
The car might have an automatic cut off to either disengage the transmission or cut off the engine. Otherwise you will rip apart the transmission.
when a diode is forward biased it conducts current
Walt Disney World Explorer happened in 1996.
Use "looking forward to" when expressing interest or excitement about something that will happen in the future. Do not use "looking forward for."
the diode when forward biased will conduct and during reverse biased condition(generally doring reverse biased condition ckt is open mens no current flows;when register is connected)current flows but during reverse biased condition 1--for sometimes initially current flows due to discharging of capacitor. 2--then ckt will be having no current
