It sounds as if the clevis connector for the clutch master cylinder may be incorrectly adjusted too far out. Removing the cotter retaining pin and the pin that attaches the clevis to the clutch pedal and turning the adjustment nut to shorten the clutch 'travel' should fix the problem. (or if you had a shop do the clutch replacement, bring it back to the shop and have them correctly adjust the clutch master cylinder travel) Hope this helps

only adjustment is under dash on the master cly needs free play so it can return throwout bearing, under hood just open slave bleeder screw an close. if the don't cure it then clutch needs to be replaced.
There is no clutch cable in 93 Mercury Capri. Its operated by hydraulics. There is a clutch slave cylinder and master cylinder. the seal in it probably worn out. Not very hard to work with.

There is no adjustment, The clutch it self is either worn out, Bad clutch slave cylinder. Air are no fluid in the clutch mastercylinder. Fill clutch master cylinder up with fluid, be sure to remove the little rubber cub that is inside of the clutch master cylinder before you fill it up, then bleed the clutch of all air. Then see if the clutch works better.
