you best bet from what i hear is to change in throught the passenger wheel well. im about to imbark on this mission my-self too. it seems to me tht you have to take off the pulley's and the alternator and the rest of the pully driven stuff on the front of the engine ( its in sideways so the front of the engine is really the passenger-side). then there is the cover on the front of the engine, looks about 10 bolts, doesnt really seem all tht much trouble. but great cars are theese saturns.

Yes you can but it isn't worth the trouble and expense. You must add an additional foot pedal and the rack it goes on. You will need to add a brake booster, master cylinder etc. You will need to remove one motor mount and add another. You will need to add a shifter and all the linkage and mountings. Just buy a standard car and strip the one you have now for spares!

You may be out of luck with this check. I have a 93 with a non-turbo 1.6 and due to a non-start senario I knew the ign. module was the culprit. Being a master Ford/GM tech. and former automotive parts sales man at a local NAPA store, I took the unit out and took to every parts store around as well as a ford dealer. No one has a way to check this module to see if it is bad. Being that the car was made in Australia the local Ford dealers never botherd catering to soulving any of it's primary problems. If you suspect the module is the problem due to a no-start...the module is not cheap and trial and error may be the only course of action...good luck.
my son had the same problem & he could not find a module we replaced the whole distributor & it started but the dist. cost him over 300 dollars.

Traditionally, it has been said that there are eight parts of speech. A problem arose, however, because authorities could not agree on exactly what the parts of speech are.
According to the Purdue University Online Writing Lab, the eight parts of speech are: nouns, pronouns, articles, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, conjunctions, and prepositions.
However, the University of Ottawa Writing Centre lists the eight parts of speech as: the verb, the noun, the pronoun, the adjective, the adverb, the preposition, the conjunction, and the interjection.
At first, it was thought that a compromise could solve this dilemma.
The University of Victoria English Language Centre says there are nine parts of speech, including both articles and interjections. South Texas College concurs.
The debate, however, is far from over.
The "Cambridge Grammar of the English Language" now claims that pronouns are a subset of nouns. It also drops the term "articles" and replaces it with with a new category called "determinatives."
Not to be outdone, the English Department (Linguistics) at Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo, openly admits that the so-called eight parts of speech "is not quite enough to cover the reality of English." It suggests that the list should number 12 and include nouns, adjectives, verbs, adverbs, prepositions, proforms, determiners, qualifiers, conjunctions, particles, expletives and interjections.
This issue is likely going to be discussed for years to come.

pump the brakes, and then hold it down while your buddy loosens the bleeder screw. repeat the process a couple times on each brake, making sure the master cylinder doesn't run out of fluid. also make sure the bleeder screw is tight before letting off the break, or you have to start over

Under your radio is a little box, remove that and in there is a headlight lift motor relay. The clicking is coming from that. It is realy easy to change out.
Answercheck the head light relay. I think my relay is starting to go bad in mine. when i put mine down i hear a click click click and they are jumpy. but the click is coming from under the dash on mine. one of these days i will have to find out whats clicking. so i can replace the relay. all i know is mine sounds like a relay
On my 91 Capri, there is a small black rectangular switch in the center console near the parking brake handle. If you push this switch, the headlights raise without turning on the headlights themselves. The headlights will not retract until you push this switch again, even if you use the regular headlight switch. By the way, my headlights always take several seconds to retract. So, if you try this, give them 5 to 10 seconds to retract. After this, they should work normally using the regular headlight switch.
there is a 20 amp fuse in the fuse box under the hood by the battery if this fuse blows the headlights will not raise or lower. this fuse also powers the memory of the radio. this fuse powers the lift switch by the brake handle.

What Year? Sorry, a mercury capri convertible 1991

Hello,If you are running your Capri on plain water only chences are immense that your water pump impeller has completely corroded away or simply desintegrated due to years of friction in water and then merely a rough edged razor sharp flat dish remains rather then an i^peller, which obviously does not circulate the water as required.Recommend you check water circulation by removing top hose at thermmostat and remove thermostat on cold engine an then start up and observe if water is actually being pressed out/forced trough the themostat housing. Dont let it run long, just to see if circulation is really there, otherwise add water continuously without pressurising the cooling circuit (garden hose not pressed into radiator cap but at a distance and merely let water run without pressure) at radiator cap to obseve a few minutes more

Answerthey all do that. lol. i have a 1991 it does the same thing if you let the car ideal. you will see the fan wont even kick on until its up that high. i thought something was wrong with my car also. then i saw photos of others on eBay of the dash with the car running and there was just as high as mine.you can pull the fuss out off one of the relay under the hood next to the left front of the fire wall it's in the corner cover in rubber pull the rubber off pull the fuss out and the fan will stay on but when you stop the car put the fuss back in or you might have a brokin vacum hose that will make car run hot or a headgasket might be going out that if you radater is goodAsked by Wiki User
Count the flashes. That is a code. Look it up in the service manual and follow its diagnostic procedure.
I had code 4 on a 93 capri. I went through the diagnostic procedure and the result was everything was OK with the other circuits, it said to replace the diagnostic monitor module, which is a computer that monitors the air bags and flashes the codes. The diagnostic monitor is separate, it should not affect the operation of the air bags, it only attempts to discover faults in the air bags that would prevent their deployment, it does not actually deploy them.
I am loathe to replace the diagnostic monitor (because I'm cheap). I may yet disable the light, if I can. Maybe that was your question, how do you turn off the light without actually fixing anything? The service manual says if the light is not functional, the diagnostic monitor beeps instead. So maybe I need a light that appears to be flashing, but is dark?
There is much redundancy in the air bag system itself. I would hope that most of the faults the diagnostic monitor finds are not critical faults because of the built in redundancy. In other words, the diagnostic monitor might only be telling you that one level of redundancy has failed.

I can't give you a psi but I can say that the Capri generally reads low on oil pressure and high on temperature. Neither is actually that low or that high, it's a gage issue. I've heard cleaning an engine ground cable will help but haven't tried it myself.

There are two ways the headlights can go up or down. 1st is by using the light switch on the steering column. The other is a switch just behind the stick shifter. I will sometimes hit it accidently and the lights will pop up. It took me some figuring out...but the simple switch is probably the culprit.
