Other things besides pregnancy can cause a missed period such as stress, travelling, being really upset etc. or you ight be pregnant but too early for it to show up on a test

Its very unlikely that you would be pregnant, as the test was negative and you had a period. Although it could always be a false result and there is sometimes a little bleeding very early on in pregnancy, you should wait to see if you have a full period this month and if not take another test.
