If the pain is gradually diminishing over time, don't worry - it will heal. A lot of it depends on your age. When I was 18, I sprained my ankle three times in that one year. It took no longer than two weeks to heal each time. When I was 50, I badly sprained my ankle again. It took five months before the pain was completely gone. If you are a young person, and it still hurts after two months, talk to a doctor. If you are past forty - give it time.
Any time you have unexplained pain you should see a doctor. Also if you have pain that lasts beyond what it should, for example if a wound is healed but it still hurts or if your sprained ankle is still hurting after over six weeks.
It may not be a sprain even if you think it is. I thought I sprained my right middle finger but it was swollen and hurt for 2 months so I went to the orthopedic doctor and it turned out that I tore a ligament. I'm still recovering so I would suggest that you get it checked, just in case.
Any hernia will hurt until repaired. If your hernia still hurt then there must be a reason. Your Local Doctor should be able to find that reason
A sprained foot will often induce immediate swelling. It usually happens from coming down on your ankle wrong, or "rolling it." You will notice that with a sprained foot, you can still walk on it, but it is best to elevate it and put ice on it.
I would definitely visit your local doctor, and see if he refers you to hospital or just tells you it will get better. You could have torn your tendon.
My ankle just stopped swelling 2 days ago witch was 2 months after I sprained it! so it may be swollen for a while
you should stretch your leg muscles or if that hurts more give it some rest for a couple of days and if still hurts after you have tried that then you should see your doctor
you should just go because you don't want to get in trouble
i got my tragus pierced yesterday and it hurts pretty bad. it heels about 3 months or so
Getting an x-ray wouldn't hurt you...I have hurt my ankle many times and normally if it is still bothering me after a couple of days I will go get it checked out...you could have some further damage to either you ligaments or tendons or even a nerve that is creating the pain that you are feeling.
well its probably good to get it checked. it could be broken, fractured, sprained or just badly bruised on the inside or out. the best thing is to get it checked especially after 3 days!
