I inserted my first Nuva Ring without realizing it was expired-I removed it 4 days after the discovery but I am still bleeding and this is day 9-how long should I wait before I go to the doctor?

call your doctor IMMEDIATELY. if you have not had bleeding like this before, there could be other underlying causes. you may just have an imbalance in your hormones, but you will need to answer questions from the doctor. How old are you? do you smoke? how long have you been on this type of Birth Control? is there any cramping? diarrhea, nauseous? is there a fever, what other medications are you on? your doctor may not have your medical records at the time you talk to him, so be patient and answer his questions honestly.
