If you have told your parents then they will probably get you the necessary sanitary towels (pads) or tampons. If you worry about it then just research about it on the net. They are hundreds of websites for kids with puberty issues. That's what I did :)

well my daughter was 13 when she got hers. she was at school and i went to pick her up for the day from the nurse's office. i helped her put on a pad and i reassured her. note: kids are embarrassed to tell you that they got your period so you should be very relaxed and reassuring to her. don't linger on the subject or embarrass her anymore than she already is. just do what needs to be done and forget about it. trust me it's as simple as that. :]

∙ 9y ago(This is for your first period)on your period you will obviously need pads or tampons, but if your feeling dizzy or sick it's a good idea to lay flat on your back and have a glass of ice cold water or ice-cream to kind of soothe the pain and or cramps, then just watch some movies,tv etc. or just text your friends, what I always do while I'm on my period is have a Disney movie marathon. I hope I helped a little bit.

∙ 12y agoyou just need to know that you dont need to be afraid and do not eat things that make your stomach hurt while on your period. also always tell your mom that you are on your period. be very careful after you have your period you can get prenate

You should first be aware that this is normal and you're not dying! Go grab a pad and put it on NEW underwear. If you don't have a pad go to the nurse or put toilet paper. If you're at home tell your mother. Then just get used to the feeling. Have a good day!!! Might have mood swings...

Having irregular periods is nomal. Maybe because you have just started to have period for only a short time, so don't worry about that.

You are OK. If this is your first period you need to keep a calendar each month and mark off the days of your period. Most periods cycle every 28 days give or take a few days. If you have more days that is OK too. Since you started on Nov 1 count from that day to the last day of your period, then count until you get to 28 days total. Your period should start within the next week. A fact you need to know is that on about day 12-14 of your cycle it is possible to get pregnant for the next several days. Another thing is that if you are just starting your period it may take it 6 months to a year before it will settle down to a normal cycle.
