The thing is you can't be shy though i am you got to take things slow and get to know her and if you like her more than a friend then the best time would be at a school dance but always be sure that she is alone walk over to her at a time when her friends are not around because that might embarass her and then she would hate you and you always should try to understand a girls feelings because some girls emotions are frial and weak you could creep her out really easily if you do something wrong that's the wisdom ill share with you
