I think you should tell his girlfriend that he likes you and just wait until they break up then as quick as possible, ask him out! Oh! Remind him that he likes you and if you want to ask to date you afrter the other girl.

First of all you should ask yourself is he worth even thinking about after he perferred another girl over you. It may sound harsh but that's the only way I see it, and look deeper into you own question, you say he likes you, but is going out with another girl, ask yourself then how sincere can he really be if by what you say is decieving that other girl, will he do that to you also. Sometime what we want is not nessacerily what's best for us. Leave him alone for awhile and from far monitor the relationship. If he really likes you then he'll miss you and maybe change his mind. Remember always be responsible to yourself and others, never wish for others what you wouldn't want others to wish for you. If he's the one for you he'll come back all on his own.
