The clear sac is known as a gestational sac. It often carries the fetus, whenever it is completely clear without any blood sacs it is known as a 'missed miscarriage'.

I miscarried at 8 weeks I lost what looks like a clear sack about the size of a older 5o cent piece when you miscarried what is it?

The clear sac most likely had blood clots, which may have contained the fetus. This is known as the gestational sac. The actual term for a missed miscarriage would be 'blighted ovum'.

I had my period for a week spotted for a week then a large clear and red gel-like thing came out along with some off white fluid was that a miscarriage and I just never knew I was pregnant?

When I miscarried there was a clear gel-like sac that came out. I had a blighted ovum so there was no fetus in the sac. Later a large piece of tissue passed, that was the placenta.
