You can't control what you dream about. Just because you don't dream of him doesn't necessarily mean you don't truly love him. Some people have lucid dreams (they can control their dreams). It is common if you don't have any.
And you might dream of him but forget your dreams. Many people do not remember their dreams.
So, just because you don't dream about him doesn't mean you aren't in love because your mind wanders when you sleep. Because dreams rarely make any sense, it's useless in comparing them to reality.
