I would use the internet to locate a repair manual. Chilton is a large manufacture of repair manuals. Check websites of Ford Aftermarket parts to restore the torino. They will usually have the vacuum hose decal that was originally under hood. Would also type in Gran Torino car clubs on Google. They will know all the suppliers of parts and manuals.
If you need help finding a vacuum hose diagram for a 1977 Ford Bronco, check the owner's manual. You can also check local auto part stores.
Try looking on the underside of the hood, sticker with vacuum diagram.

a vacuum leak.
I would look in a haynes manual it has all the diagrams in it. # 1-805-498-6703

We have wiring diagrams for Corvettes including your 1973. Visit us online. Sorry they are not free but if you want someone to tell you something specific on the diagram we would be more than happy to.
It depends on which distributor and transmission you have. The stock distributor has one vacuum line going to it. An autostick transmission has one line. If you have a manual transmission and a Bosch 009 distributor like most people do, you have no vacuum lines.
Yes, or it could be a lifter out of adjustment. Some 1973 Ford Torino V8s had solid lifters that must be manually adjusted. Depends on which engine you have. If your engine has hydraulic lifters add a can of Seafoam Motor Tune to your oil. Follow the directions on the can. This will clean the lifters and possibly save you the trouble of replacing one. Click the link for info on Seafoam.
