I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess you're quite young, so moving to New York City or Hollywood isn't really a viable option.
To be an "actor in Ohio" you're going to need to do theatrical productions, because there aren't a lot of film or television studios there. Your best bet is to find out if there's a local community theatre and when they're holding auditions, then show up and try out. You could check with your English teacher and see if you can get an introduction to the high school drama teacher, who will probably know if there are any repertory groups in the area that might be holding auditions and may even have some connections there.
Don't expect to get paid for this, by the way; you'll be doing it for experience and exposure, not for money.
