I removed the thermostat from a 1993 Nissan Maxima but didn't note which way the thermostat was to be inserted back in the thermostat housing?

Looking At The Thermostat You Will See A Spring Around A Copper Piece The Copper And Spring Side Go Toward The Engine. The Other Side Is Mostly Flat This Side Goes Toward The Radiator.
i believe this holds true for any engine... not sure about chevys reverse cooled corvettes and gmc's reverse cooled trucks tho
