I rent a apartment and have to carry renters insurance. Recently Ive had a claim against me and now I cant seem to find insurance anywhere help.?

My landlord said that the tenants are responsible for getting an insurance policy to cover against storm damage, flooding, etc. Is that true or is the landlord liable for that kind of insurance?
This varies from landlord to landlord. If you are staying in full fledged apartment, the insurance will be taken care of by the apartment owner itself. otherwise if you staying in independant house, we have take care of insurance cover for strom damage, flooding.
If a new resident at an apartment building falls near an entrance and is injured does the apartment owners liability insurance cover expenses or is this considered your own home with no liability?
It really depends where one fell. If it was in your own apartment, that would be your problem. If you slipped & fell on their sidewalk or tripped in a pothole on the common grounds, you could file a claim against the apartment owners general liability.

Likely as not from a private landlord. Apartment complexes are nefariously discriminatory against the formerly convicted.

if she lives with you, they require you to tell them. if you don't, and she has an accident and/ or they find out, even if its not her fault, they can drop you.
