I took wires and screws off starter but the starter won't come off engin -97 Lincoln Continental?

If you have removed the bolts holding it in place, lightly tap it with a hammer as it is stuck. Make sure you have removed the 2 bolts holding it. Thank you, There are two bolts and the top one has a nuts to tie up ground cable, obviously I just took the nuts off but not the bolt screw. After taking top bolt off, I could easily took starter out. R. Lin
