I tryed sending a fax and got a Line Error message under note it stated COM.E-2 was my fax sent?

If the page seemed to feed all the way through the document feed section, its possible. But you might want to check with who you sent it to to see if they received it.

I don't know your particular fax machine, but if it is an actual comm error of some kind, its probably the result of "line noise" on your phone line. Its a fairly common problem. And unforntunately, most phone companies don't consider it a problem, because they don't design phone lines with fax machines in mind. They tend to take the stance that phone lines are designed for phone calls.. And SHOULD work for fax machines..but don't guarantee that it will.

If you only had the problem to them and send to everyone else fine, its probably on their side. If you find you are having trouble sending to multiple people its probably on your side.

If that is the case, try a different tel cord between the wall and the fax. If that doesn't work, try it on a different jack somewhere else in the house.

If that doesn't work, take the machine completely outside of the house and test it somewhere else. In some extreme cases, you might need to take it completely out of your town to test it, because the problem can actually be at the town switchboard.

Some manufactures can make some adjustments to increase the possibility of sending/receiving signal on noisy line, but I don't generally recommend them, because the line conditions tend to change, which means whatever they are doing is probably a temporary fix.. And if someone else is having your problem and somehow manages to get the phone company to resolve it, you might find that by them resolving the true issue, the fax may not work as well with the new adjustments that your fax manufacturer had you make.
