Im an English guy and married an American. Its easier to get a Visa in USA than it is in Britain. but there shouldn't be any problems.
You will probably want extra copies of the marriage license and certificate so that you can register the marriage in the UK. I was the best man at a wedding in Mexico and we needed four sets of papers to return to the US and properly register the marriage.
