Be small. ?
The person in the air is called a flyer. When the bases (people holding the flyer) hold the flyer up to there collar bone, its called an elevator It needs a flyer, 2 bases, and a back spot.
There are at least three different roles in cheer leading including coaching. Another role in cheer leading is being the head cheerleader who calls out the cheer.
The secondary base, in one-legged stunts, does not support most of the flyer she provides support to the middle of her foot.
First off they are called partner stunting, and it is when a person throws a flyer into the air high enough to catch the flyer at their feet equaling a partner stunt.
No, of course not you need bases to no squad can have just flyers any cheer group need a bit of everything Ali 13
Being anything in cheerleading is a good thing. You are privileged to be doing cheer as a sport because it takes a lot of hard work and determination to be anything in cheer. Being a flyer, everything is put on you to make all the stunts look really pretty by keeping a tight shape and locking out your knees and arms. Being a flyer you don't have to do a lot of the work just the icing on the top. Without the flyer there would be no stunt.
Don't listen to other people. You are 14 and only weigh 107 that's not a bad thing! the really question is are you a experienced flyer? if not I recommend flying lessons at a tumbling/cheer gym. Hope I helped:)
yes miley was a flyer. she was very good too. And she is very flexible
the size of the flyer really all depends on the size of the base or bases, genuinely the flyer should be shorter but if she is very light that makes an difference, also if the flyer can hold his/her weight very well and stay tight that makes a HUGE difference to but usually the flyer is smaller than her supportung stunt group.
YES! its the main concern suring stunting that the flyer doesnt hit the ground. It's the bases and back spots job to make sure they catch her no matter what. If theres and extra spot, he/she should get in and grab what ever they can to make sure the flyer is safe.
no... a front spot/frontbase is not a back up flyer... the only reason they would be there is because they would not hav a sunt group to be in... there main job is to help he two regular bases with there job
