You can find them all if you want the achievement but its not needed just to enable one of them. They can only be used in the competitive or cooperative campaign over xbox live or in a private party with friends. They cannot be used in the single player campaign or in zombies. I do recommend finding them all because they do make it fun when you play those two modes. The more the merrier.
