An honorable discharge can, on rare occasions, be granted to a former service member (whose service was characterized as less than honorable) as an act of clemency, should that person display exemplary post-service conduct and show evidence of outstanding post-service achievement in areas such as education and employment.
A COG (Convenience of the Government) Discharge is the government's way of backing out of its commitment to an enlisted person without doing harm to that person's future. They are most often used to cancel the contract when the recruit is injured in training to the point where there is a long recovery time or a full recovery is not anticipated. It is a "good" discharge so long as the word "honorable" is attached to it. With an honorable discharge a person is able to claim military service and, in many cases, even enlist again once the physical problem has resolved itself. He is also most probably eligible for a 5-point Federal Civilian Service hiring preference as a veteran. It is an administrative discharge (as opposed to a judicial discharge like a dishonorable or bad conduct discharge).
Serve the time one enlisted for.AnswerYes, but that'll only get you an Honorable discharge, assuming you kept your nose clean throughout your enlistment. That's the discharge everyone wants, or at least SHOULD want--it provides the full benefit of your service. If you want a general discharge...I guess you could smoke some weed, self-refer yourself for drug treatment, then smoke some more weed while you're in there. They'll class you as a "rehabilitation failure" and kick you out, probably with a general. Then again, no one in their right mind would WANT a general discharge. It's not a good thing....Actually, if you keep your nose clean and pass your PT tests, you can be chaptered out with an honorable discharge for failure to meet body fat standards (chapter 18). Failure to meet body fat standards is an honorable discharge, but, again, you MUST pass the PT test. So have a cheeseburger!
I do know of someone who received a CCW with an OTH from the Army Reserve. However, he had an Honourable Discharge from the Regular Army prior to receiving his OTH from the Reserve, and this was in the State of North Carolina, which conducts a very extensive background check before issuing a CCW. If you're able to purchase a handgun without the transaction being denied, then you should be able to get a CCW.
White discharge without itching or burning is not a sign of a yeast infection if the discharge is no different from your usual discharge. Women normally have clear or white discharge every day, and this normal discharge is not sign of an infection.
