The average weight of an individual is usually accessed via their height. Find for a BMI chart ( Google it its really easy to find ). It would provide a standard height to weight for individuals. Its basically a ratio of the 2 called body mass index (BMI) and a healthy individual should be between 18 - 24
Starting with a formula we often use would be 110 lbs for men, plus 5 lbs for every inch over 5 ft. Age does not play a factor in most equations. This would come out to about 170 lbs for this height. This is lean body weight, and actual healthy body weights may be 10-20 lbs over this, depending on amount of musculature and activity levels. (An active 20 lb overweight person may well be healthier than a person at ideal lean body weight who is sedentary.)
Opinions vary. According to the Met Life weight tables he should be 160 - 174 lbs if he has a medium frame. For light frame or heavy frame subtract or add about 17 lbs.
