There are a couple of different types of cancer cells. Squamous, large cell, small cell etc. Each has their own specific qualities too numerous to name. However, there is one thing they have in common. Cancer cells are normal cells that had a "woopsie" in duplicating the cell DNA. Depending on what that cell was supposed to be will dictate the type of cancer. For example, if the cells in the lungs are duplicating and one goes wrong then it becomes lung cancer. Cells go snaffu all the time, however, those cells usually die. Cells going snaffu is natural however things like xrays, some chemicals, and free radicals add to that.
