ADAM NAMED THE CREATURES THAT GOD MAID AND THE SERPENT WAS ONE OF THEM.
BUT ADAM DID NOT NAME SATAN SO THE SERPENT IS NOT SATAN.
No. The serpent already had a name.
The "Serpent" is a euphemism for: Lucifer - The Devil - Satan.
The Scripture says, he was subtle and beguiling.
Another answer from our community:
No the serpent is not Satan. Because Satan was cast out of heaven without receiving a body he used the serpent, who did have a body to comuncate with Adam and Eve. The serpent was not as loyal to God's plan as were other creatures but was just this side of the line so to speak. It was easy for Satan to use the serpent to speak for him by putting thoughts into the serpents mind.
No matter what we believe about Satan being cast out of heaven, the serpent in Genesis chapter 3 could never have been Satan, nor could Satan have used the serpent to fool Eve and then God. If the serpent had been Satan in disguise, then The Bible tells us he was able to fool God, who said to the serpent, or snake, that he would henceforth crawl on his belly (Genesis 3:14). Most Christians would not accept that God could so easily be fooled, so the serpent and Satan are entirely different concepts.
Only if you think serpents are the anti-Christ. Most people don't.
Satan never tempted Eve, a serpent did in the story of Adam and Eve.
God, Adam Eve and satan
Yes, Satan the demon was the one who deceived Eve. He was the serpent.
The snake or serpent is a representation of the devil, or Satan, in flesh. He came to try to tempt Adam and Eve into turning from God.
If you are talking about the serpent that got Adam and Eve kicked out of the Garden of Eden, then it wasactually Satan. He disguised himself as a serpent, or snake if you want to call it that, and tempted Eve with it. so it was neither man nor snake. It was a fallen angel, Satan.
The Scriptue says there were Adam, then Eve both with God the Word and the serpent which represented Satan.
In Christian theology, Satan chose to enter the serpent because it was one of the creatures God had given Adam dominion over. By tempting Adam and Eve through the serpent, Satan sought to undermine God's relationship with humanity and deceive them into disobeying God's command.
The snake in the garden that god specifically told Adam and Eve to stay out of. The snake resembles satin.
It actually was Adam and Eve in the garden, not Jesus. And the serpent is not named, except as a serpent. It is unanimously understood that the serpent was either an embodiment or manifestation of the devil himself.
They were tempted by Satan/the serpent to eat of the fruit of knowledge of good and evil. It was the fruit God said not to eat.
At first Adam was a worshiper of Jehovah God, his Maker. Adam gave his wife Eve the instructions of God. She knew that God had told her husband, not to eat from a certain tree; because she repeated God's command to 'the serpent'.But Adam changed his religion when he became an 'obeyer' of 'the serpent' (Satan) instead of Jehovah God. This is how 'FALSE Religion' got started, right there in the Garden of Eden.
Satan is called the infernal serpent because Infernal mean a deity or spirit relate to or with characteristics of hell,Or a nuisance. So that about answers it because the serpent part is meaning like a snake for example he is irritable and tiresome meaning he's a nuisance.(IMPROVEMENT)-the part i said about the infernal was right but he was called a serpent because he was first depicted as a snake or a dragon.
