If George W. Bush died before Obama's inauguration who would have been the president Cheney or Obama?

According to the 20th Amendment to the United States Constitution President Bush's term ended at noon on January 20th, 2009. Until that time, regardless of the election, Bush was still the sitting President and Cheney was still the sitting Vice President. If Bush would have left office for any reason, the line of succession would have remained in effect. As such Dick Cheney would have been President until noon on Inauguration day. Barack Obama would not have been the President under any circumstances until that time.
