If I Changed fuel pump and now the relay is making clicking sound and wont start on 1990 cougar what is wrong?

Depends on what else is going on. Check the basics.... Fuel, Air, Spark. There is probably about 30 or so things that could be wrong. More info, then maybe we can help better.

well if the car was newer id say it just wasnt holding charge or making enough spark. spark plugs but since its an 89 . if its old and really dying its not holding enough compression in the cylinders.
