Check the following....battery connections, look for loose connections, corroded connectors or cables. Check connections at the starter. If possible (if you have tools and know how) check for proper voltage at the starter.
It could be anything from the engine to the connectors
Could you be more specific? Is the battery dead, will the engine not turn over, are the headlights not working, etc.?
Assuming the starter does not crank over the engine, it could be, dirty or loose battery connections, a bad starter, a bad neutral safety switch, the engine is seized.
If the motor is rebuilt I think that maybe a sensor wasnt connected
Try an engine heater or an oil heater. These are both inexpensive.
your engine could be seized or something mechanically locking the engine such as a dropped valve or some severe clutch damage
Not really. Volvo uses a sealed lead acid battery in their vehicles since they are in the trunk. You can buy one on your own, but they aren't much cheaper. Examples of brands you could use would be an Optima Battery, or an Exide Orbital. If you go to sears, or anywhere else, just tell them you need a sealed battery.
Well, It could be your battery or alternator or both needs to be replaced but it could just be loose or corroded battery cables
It could be an alternator. Check with a mechanic if that is the issue.
battery hooked up backward, wires crossed somewhere or it could be the solenoid.
all alternators require battery power to operate.
it could be your engine mounts are needing replaced
