There is no inherent advantage in one over the other, really - it would not be a bad idea to become at least familiar with both. However, if you want to just concentrate on one, your best bet is to do research into which of the two (or, less likely, another) the companies in your area are using. Unless you have no problem with relocating to find a position, no reason to learn a DBMS that nobody in your location is using.
