If Jesus is GOD why does he say it is not his will but the will of his Father?

Even though Jesus is God, there are three Persons of the Trinity. The Father is the Will of God, Jesus is the Word of God , and the Holy Spirit is the one who helps and comforts us in our Christian walk, among other things.
Jesus didn't exercise his own will but wanted to fulfill what the Father's will was. That should be our mandate as Christians as well.
